Strictly Come Dancing 2018 will introduce a brand new dance twist next Saturday, it's been revealed.
This year's 16th series will add an extra dance category, called the Couple's Choice.
It's the first change to the Strictly dances in almost a decade, since The Charleston was introduced back in 2009.
The BBC says that the Couple's Choice dance will "allow our couples to choose from one of three styles they think will showcase their celebrity's skills best as the weeks progress."
The three dance styles, as defined by the BBC, are:
Contemporary - takes inspiration from Ballet, lyrical and modern dance
Street/Commercial - covers all styles of urban dance as well as allowing couples to go in a more pop, commercial direction
Theatre/Jazz - very much the style of musical theatre, including elements of tap, soft shoe, burlesque and Jazz
A spokesperson for the show announced: “This series of Strictly we are introducing a brand-new dance category, Couples Choice.
"This will give our celebrities and professional dancers an even greater opportunity to showcase their skills and for the show to celebrate even more styles of dance.”
Strictly Come Dancing will continue next weekend on BBC One where the new category will come into play for the first time.
Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be back for what will be the fifth live show.
The celebrities strutting their stuff on the dance floor this series are Ashley Roberts, Faye Tozer, Kate Silverton, Katie Piper, Lauren Steadman, Stacey Dooley, Susannah Constantine, Vick Hope, Charles Venn, Danny John-Jules, Graeme Swann, Joe Sugg, Lee Ryan, Dr Ranj Singh and Seann Walsh.
However after three eliminations we've waved goodbye to Susannah Constantine, Charles Venn and Katie Piper.
The remaining twelve couples will take to the dancefloor next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 20th October at 6.45pm with the results show on Sunday 21st October at 7.45pm on BBC One.
