I’m A Celebrity 2018 line-up rumours: Monica Lewinsky in talks for new series?

ITV bosses have reportedly approached Monica Lewinsky for the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

Lewinsky made headlines two decades ago when it emerged she’d had an affair with then-US President Bill Clinton while working at the White House.

In the years since, she has apparently rejected several television opportunities offered in the wake of the controversy.

But according to the Sunday Express, the 45-year-old may finally about to change her mind.

Lewinsky, now an anti-bullying advocate, is supposedly in “advanced” talks with ITV to join I’m A Celebrity’s upcoming eighteenth run.

The newspaper suggests that she sees the jungle reality show as an opportunity to spread her message.

“Monica now has a platform on which to speak about bullying, particularly in a digital age,” an insider commented. “That’s why she agreed to explore being on the show.

“Plus, of course, the money being offered is very, very attractive.”

The news comes days after reality rival Celebrity Big Brother’s brush with American political scandal ended in disaster.

Stormy Daniels, the porn star involved in a legal dispute with President Donald Trump, had signed up for the Channel 5 show.

However, she ended up pulling out just hours before it began – forcing producers to continue a specially-planned White House task without her.

I’m A Celebrity’s return is creeping closer, with the new series due to begin in just under three months.

It will be the first not to feature Ant McPartlin as a host, after he recently confirmed he would temporarily step down to focus on his recovery.

ITV confirmed this week that his long-time partner Dec Donnelly will instead team up with a new co-host.

Other names rumoured for the contestant line-up include Kate Garraway, Jamie Laing and Nick Knowles.
