Kate Garraway has been rumoured for this year's I'm A Celebrity 2018 line up.

The TV host is said to have been approached by jungle bosses to appear Down Under in the new series.

According to The Sun, the Good Morning Britain presenter could get as much as £150,000.

Sources say she would be "TV Gold".

An insider said: "She has been a massive ratings hit on Good Morning Britain, thanks in part to her chemistry with co-hosts Piers Morgan and Ben Shepherd, and there’s no doubt she’ll transfer that appeal to Australia with her celebrity campmates.

“Kate has always been relatable and game for a challenge but since entering her fifties she’s embracing all aspects of life and sees the Aussie jungle as the ultimate life test."

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Kate didn't deny the rumours.

Instead, after encouragement from her co-hosts, she laughed: "I love how all of my colleagues want to see me buried and covered in cockroaches."

They added to the tabloid: “She’s in great shape at the minute too so wouldn’t have any qualms about stripping off in a bikini and would be flying the flag for the more mature lady.”

Other names rumoured for I'm A Celebrity this year include Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing.

He'd follow in the footsteps of costar Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo, who took part and won last year.

Alongside Jamie and Katie, Holby City actress Rosie Marcel recently revealed she too has been 'in talks' to appear on the show.

More celebs rumoured are TV host Nick Knowles, Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens, Love Island's Olivia Attwood and Celebs Go Dating's Charlotte Dawson, plus Corrie stars Shayne Ward, Lucy Fallon and Catherine Tyldesley.

Also rumoured are Love Island and Blazin Squad star Marcel Somerville, Inbetweeners star Emily Atack, snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan, winter Olympian Elise Christie and Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole after his exit from the BBC One series.

A spokesperson for the show said: "Any names suggested for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here are speculation at this stage"

I'm A Celebrity typically airs in November on ITV.

Dec will front the show alongside a new co-host after Ant stepped down from TV work until 2019.
