Married At First Sight 'star' Ben Jardine has reportedly signed up for Celebrity Big Brother 2018.

Ben appeared on the latest series of the Channel 4 show, where strangers marry before living together to see if it works.

(Spoiler: It doesn't).

While Ben and his wife on the show Stephanie were still together at the end of the series, they shortly announced their divorce after the final episode aired.

Ben said of the split earlier this year: "It killed me. After the end of the show we were giving it a go, but as my mum said, you don’t know someone until you've lived with them.".

A source told The Sun newspaper of Ben joining CBB: "Ben has had a year from hell so is thrilled to be going on Celebrity Big Brother.

"It means he can finally put the past behind him and move on."

Another insider added: "He is absolutely made for TV and is the perfect choice for Celebrity Big Brother. Ben is bursting with charisma and charm and is also such a nice guy to be around.

"He's definitely going to prove popular with both his fellow housemates and viewers at home."

The new series of Celebrity Big Brother this summer - which could be the last ever - has an 'Eye Of The Storm' theme.

Channel 5 explained: "All of the celebrity names entering the house will have been caught up in their own media storm. And now, the celebrities are once again putting themselves in the public eye and this time they have a lot to prove."

Alongside Ben, some names linked to the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 cast include 'Human Ken Doll' Rodrigo Alves , headline grabbing footballer Jermaine Pennant and Kieran Hayler, the estranged husband of former Celebrity Big Brother winner herself Katie Price.

More of the names rumoured are Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley, Meghan Markle's sister Samantha Markle, and American porn actress Stormy Daniels, who is currently at the centre of controversy surrounding president Donald Trump.

Yet more celebs tipped for the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 line up this summer include Love Island's Gabby Allen, transgender journalist Paris Lees, TOWIE's Dan Osbourne, Corrie's Ryan Thomas and TV presenter John Leslie.

Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will launch on Thursday, August 16 at 9PM on Channel 5.
