The Love Island girls take part in a bizarre new challenge in tonight’s show.
While the competition to win Love Island 2018 may be stepping up, the girls have competing of another sort on their mind when they go head to head in a new task.
Called Ladies Day, it’s Love Island’s answer to the Grand National.
In this evening’s episode, the girls are given instructions via text: “Islanders, get ready for a day at the races as all the girls compete in the next challenge, Ladies Day. #hottotrot #themaneevent”
Each girl is provided their own horse space hopper, and told they must complete three circuits in the quickest time possible.
The four fastest girls then go up against one another in the final round, the champagne spray.
Summarising the day’s activities, old Jack reveals: “The world’s most unladylike Ladies Day I’ve ever seen in my life. People just falling on the deck. Other space hoppers coming straight into them.”
As the competitive spirit takes over around the course, Steph admits: “We all looked like elegant ladies but we didn’t all act like them.”
With each of the girls clambering for victory, all gloves are off.
Dani jokes: “Megan, I’m actually fuming with her. Pulling me back she was. How dare she. My poor little horse, he doesn’t need that.”
Which girl can ride their way to the top spot?
Love Island 2018 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
Meanwhile, Alex and Alexandra get to enjoy a date.
A text replies: “Alexandra and Alex, you are heading out for some one on one time. Please get ready to leave the villa #repeatprescription #ohhell”
Both dress in their best for the afternoon, and as they sit and converse, Alex is quick off the mark with the compliments.
He says: “This is the first date I’ve had in seven weeks properly out of the villa. I’m with a beautiful girl as well. I told you black was your colour.”
Alexandra reveals that the date is a marked improvement on their first date: “It’s definitely an improvement on our first date.
“I was a bag on nerves. I didn’t know what I was saying.”
