TV presenter Noel Edmonds has become one of the latest names tipped for Celebrity Big Brother.
The telly host, who fronted Channel 4 game show Deal Or No Deal is said to be on a wish list of stars for the upcoming series.
"Noel is one of the most recognisable faces on the box," a source said this weekend. “He’s been a household name for decades and producers know he is someone who viewers will be interested in."
They told the Daily Star newspaper: “He isn’t someone who can be easily convinced to do a reality show, but they’re doing their best to get him to sign on the dotted line.”
Noel himself has now spoken out on the rumours - and not denied them.
Ahead of Thursday night's launch show, he told the Daily Express newspaper: “It’s fabulous isn’t it? Isn’t it just great? Isn’t it great?
“It’s great being me because sometimes there are hours that go by where I can’t stop laughing.”
Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will launch on Thursday, August 16 at 9PM on Channel 5.
Introducing a new 'Eye Of The Storm' twist for this year, Channel 5 said previously: "All of the celebrity names entering the house will have been caught up in their own media storm. And now, the celebrities are once again putting themselves in the public eye and this time they have a lot to prove."
Alongside Noel, names rumoured include headline grabbing footballer Jermaine Pennant, Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley, 'Human Ken Doll' Rodrigo Alves and American porn actress Stormy Daniels, who is currently at the centre of controversy surrounding president Donald Trump.
Also tipped for the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 line up this summer are TOWIE's Dan Osborne, Love Island's Gabby Allen and Corrie's Ryan Thomas.
Joining them are set to be Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallet, television psychic Sally Morgan and American TV personality Natalie Nunn who is best known for starring in US series Bad Girls Club.
