Love Island’s Georgia Steel and Sam Bird continue to fight over viewer tweets

Love Island’s Georgia Steel and Sam Bird are still bickering after reading viewer tweets.

Sam and Georgia fell out on Friday following a discussion around the Twitter Bingo challenge about a tweet which said: “Georgia flirts with other guys to keep Sam on his toes.”

In tonight’s show, the pair continue to fight.

Georgia tells Alexandra: “I’ve come in here to meet somebody, I don’t really care what people think. I’m thinking about leaving here with someone. Me and Sam have met each other in our own little way, yes it maybe took me a bit more time to reach him because he wanted me from the beginning.

“I’ve been honest with him the whole time so I don’t really understand what the issue is. If I wanted to flirt with one of them other guys I could have but I stayed sincere to Sam because I liked him.”

Alexandra tells her: “Hopefully you can understand each other a bit better. If it doesn’t break you, it makes you stronger in here.”

The next day, Sam says he and Georgia need to speak again following their tiff the previous night.

In the Beach Hut, Georgia says: “This morning I feel like I need to squish our little issue that we had last night. I don’t really care what people say at all but I care about him being okay.”

Georgia and Sam go to have a chat.

Sam comments: “I think that obviously I didn’t want to come across that I believed these tweets. At the end of the day, all I care about is how we feel about each other, that’s all that matters. But at the same time, it’s not a very nice thing for me to hear and I’m not saying that I believe it but at the same time I wanted to hear your opinion. It’s a bit of reassurance.”

Georgia tells him: “Basically the way I felt was, I knew you weren’t grilling me but I was trying to get my point across about keeping you on your toes… At the end of the day I want you to be on your toes, I don’t want you to be relaxed with me because I don’t think that makes an exciting relationship. We’re both young Sam, we both want our relationship to be exciting.”

Love Island 2018 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
