Megan Barton Hanson says she has moved on from Wes Nelson on Love Island 2018 tonight.
Their brief fling – which caused drama in the villa – is over, with Megan instead setting her sights on two of the new boys.
In tonight’s show Megan’s dilemma between new boys Alex Miller and Dean Overson continues, as she shares kisses with both in her bid to determine which one she should stick with long term. And where does her wandering eye now leave Wes?
As the day gets underway, reflecting on her kiss with Alex, Megan tells the Beach Hut: “It’s the happiest I’ve been in here. I’m not going to lie. So much more fun, this is how I wanted it to be.”
Talking to the girls about the choice she faces between Alex and Dean, she admits: “I said to him ‘don’t tell everyone,’ because I think it’s hard because I had a chat with Dean. He was trying in his own way.
“He’s a mix of Eyal’s good looks and Dr Alex’s awkwardness. I think I need someone that I just click with, I can’t do it out of sympathy. (Alex) is a proper man.”
On the subject of Wes, Megan indicates she’s moving on…and hopes he is too: “I try not to think about what Wes is up to and what he’s going to think about the kiss with Alex. I’m sure he’s chatting to girls and getting to know other girls as well. I hope that he is. Can you imagine if he walked back without a girl, I’d be like ‘sorry’.”
Unfortunately for Megan, Wes is on a very different page, as he remarks in the Beach Hut: “I’m not really keen on the girls in terms of going forward. I think there’s some that are nice but in terms of initial attraction and the first day, not as good as the first day with Meg.”
Having grown closer to Alex during the day, Megan gives Dean a chance when he makes his play for her before they both kiss, in front of their fellow Islanders, including Alex.
Alex looks crestfallen.
Megan however decides to explain herself to Alex, admitting: “It was a bit muggy of me to kiss Dean in front of you. I’m just worried about your motives. Are you here because you actually want to find someone, or are you here because you’re a bit of a lad?”
Whatever the outcome of her current love triangle predicament, Megan is optimistic that her fortunes in the villa are about to change, telling the Beach Hut: “Obviously things didn’t work out with Eyal and Wes. I’m hoping it’s third time lucky.”
Love Island 2018 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
