Laura Anderson and Megan Barton Hanson come face to face in tonight’s Love Island 2018.

It’s after Laura branded Megan a “f**king sl*g” and a “stupid b***h” after she and Laura’s current partner Wes Nelson got together.

Still pained by yesterday evening’s events, tonight Laura approaches Megan eager to get to the bottom of the part she played in Wes’ decision.

First off, Laura is eager to apologise for her outburst and admits: “This is really, really difficult for me. I can’t call you names. I don’t want to be mean to you. Nothing is your fault.

“I don’t want to call you a s***. I should never have said that to you. You’re not a s***. That’s completely uncalled for. So I 100% take that back.

Laura then goes on to outline how Wes’ behaviour has caught her completely off guard: “It’s just I thought me and Wes were great, he’s been so attentive and so sweet to me all day. He’s lying in bed with me last night looking me in the eyes telling me how happy he is, how much he’s into me, how great everything is.

“And any kind of problem we ever had, we always squished it and made me feel like we were fine. So it’s very difficult and I’m just shocked, massively. Obviously you told me you get on. He told me he thought you were attractive but he told me he didn’t fancy you. So I am just really, really shocked today.”

Megan makes an attempt to explain herself, beginning: “I understand that and obviously I felt awkward after the whole challenge thing.”

Laura asks: “But why didn’t you said anything to me. How long has this been harbouring?”

Megan responds: “Literally, it’s been two days. We’ve never spoke until earlier and I took him to the terrace and we spoke. And I spoke to Samira about it and said ‘what do you think I should do?’ She was like ‘I’m scared for you.’

“I do think girl to girl I should have spoken to you first but obviously I don’t want to come to you and be like ‘I fancy your guy, I’m going to go speak to him’.”

With emotions running high and with her life in the villa turned upside down, Laura is unsure how to move forward.

She says: “I just feel like I just wanna go. I’m going to get up in the morning and watch you two crack on together. It’s a joke. I just feel like I’ve lost a friendship and a guy in the same night. And I look like a mug. The fact that he’s turned around to me and said there’s something missing and he’s not happy, how real actually are you? I don’t want to cloud your judgement, you go with whatever.”

As the awkward exchange continues, Laura makes it clear to Megan that their friendship is over.

She declares: “I’m just sad because I feel like it’s going to be awkward with me and you. I don’t feel like I can be friends with you. I just wanted to apologise for saying what I said because it’s not what I feel. I’m just sad because I feel like our friendship is over.”

Love Island 2018 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
