The drama involving Megan Barton Hanson, Wes Nelson and Laura Anderson is apparently so juicy that ITV2 has EXTENDED tonight’s Love Island 2018.

The latest instalment of the reality show, airing at 9.00pm, was originally due to last for the usual hour.

However, bosses have now extended it to 80 minutes, allowing fans to see even more of the explosive action.

Sky has updated its EPG to reflect the change, with the episode now due to end at 10.20pm.

ITV2 also teased fans on its Twitter page, writing: “Yassss, It’s Going Down Tonight! Extra long @LoveIsland 9pm.”

The scheduling change comes after an unexpected break-up sent shockwaves through the villa.

Megan has turned her back on Eyal Booker, and is now professing her attraction to Wes – who is currently coupled up with Laura Anderson.

Her change of heart has left Eyal “raging”, although he conceded that “her mind is made up”.

Meanwhile, although Megan insists she won’t “step on anyone’s toes”, Laura is worried about her future with Wes.

“He’s told me before that he finds [Megan] attractive,” she said.

“Obviously if Megan’s going to lay it on with Wes, I wouldn’t think it was OK.”

As for Wes, he has confessed to having doubts about Laura, saying: “I’d be lying if I said I was 100% happy.”

You can see the latest developments in full in tonight’s 80-minute Love Island special tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

The potential love triangle isn’t the only storm that’s brewing, with rumours suggesting that a big twist is on the way.

According to newspaper reports, producers are considering adding some of the islanders’ exes to the show.
