Adam Collard makes a move on new girl Zara McDermott on Love Island tonight, leaving Rosie Williams devastated.
Currently coupled up with Rosie, Adam is chosen by Zara as one of her three dates alongside Alex George and Eyal Booker.
Adam and Zara’s date proves fruitful for the playboy PT, with a connection quickly being forged. As they share a banana split together, Adam tells her: “You’re a little bit mysterious aren’t you? I find it quite intriguing. Because quite a lot of people said that about me when I first came in. I think people were shocked about the decisions that I probably made while I’ve been in here.”
But, cautious about his current coupling with Rosie, Zara is eager to understand where Adam’s own head is at, with Adam explaining: “Do you know what it is? I think things have been going reasonably well with Rosie but I’m quite open to the fact of, I tell her all the time it is early doors.
“I openly say we are not in the category of what Jack and Dani are, because I’m not there personally. I would always give someone the chance.”
After the date, Adam is quizzed the boys. After praising Zara he’s asked where Rosie fits into the equation and responds: “I’m going to leave it for now but put this way, I’ll not be kissing her goodnight in bed.”
Zara meanwhile acknowledges Rosie’s cold treatment of her, in light of her date with Adam: “Emotions are definitely running high. Obviously I know I’ve upset Rosie because my date with Adam went really well and Rosie’s not spoke to me at all.”
With Rosie left dismayed by Adam’s distance towards her, she decides to confront him about where things stand, which quickly descends into a heated exchange.
Later chatting to the girls, Rosie becomes emotional as she recounts the intimate moment she and Adam shared two nights ago.
She says: “He’s said to me things about having a future together. You can’t do that and have your head turned two seconds later because a new face has walked in. He told me that he did see me as a girlfriend, which is why he hasn’t rushed. I’m not being funny, I don’t do things with people unless they mean something.
“I did it because I thought this was something real, I thought we had something.”
With the relationship between them now fractured seemingly beyond repair, Rosie declares she is finished with Adam: “As far as I’m concerned with Adam, I’m completely done. I’m not even going to give him the chance to give his wishy washy excuses. I’ve had enough. What a little boy.”
But, aware of the role she has played in Adam and Rosie’s latest split, Zara earmarks Rosie’s own behaviour as the catalyst in their break up.
She says: “I feel like the situation with Adam…Rosie doesn’t realise that she’s pushing him away by acting the way she is. She’s giving him drama and grief over the fact that I chose him to go on a date. That’s not his fault. This is the third time tonight that I’ve walked past her and she’s not made eye contact. That’s not nice.”
With Adam now free to pursue a flirtation with Zara, a scorned Rosie forecasts an eventual misery for Zara.
She suggests: “He’s been with four girls in two weeks. He’ll do it to her as well. It’s not for me that. I want someone who’s a bit more serious. The only thing I’m upset about is that he did what he did in bed with me and then just sacked me off. I just think that’s a bit disgusting and it’s not what a gentleman would do.”
Love Island 2018 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
