Love Island fans have hit out at Samira Mighty after her actions in tonight's latest show.
Alex and Samira are currently officially coupled up, although for both it's on a 'friends' basis.
Samira told Alex: “If you came up to her in a club I don’t know if she’d turn around… because she looks like some type of girl.”
“I don’t know what you mean when you say ‘she looks like some type of girl,’” Alex quizzed.
Samira said: “I’m just saying a scenario… If a boy came in and he was on me, I’d be like, ‘Hmmm is that just because I’m single?’”
In the Beach Hut, Samira admitted: “Obviously we are the single ones, bombshells will come in and it’s the easy option to go for Alex and I because everyone is super comfortable in their couples and super happy. I just don’t want to see him get hurt and that was my main thing for Alex.”
But viewers were far from impressed by Samira's actions, with one writing: "Samira is worried about leaving the show.. not about Alex getting hurt 😂"
Another agreed: "Samira is looking real funny in the light 😂 You’re worried about your place, sis. Not him getting hurt. #LoveIsland"
Although others speculated that there could be another reason for Samira's comments.
"......i wonder if Samira slyly has feelings for Alex now.....hmmmmm #loveisland," one Love Island fan suggested.
It wasn't just on Twitter that Samira's comments prompted a reaction.
In the villa, Samira was taken to task by Josh who told her: “You’re being a bit frosty. It’s Alex’s opportunity… This is his time right now, he has his opportunity. I understand that you feel at risk, a bit nervous, it’s rubbish to see the guy you are coupled up with, your life line in this villa [move on] because these two girls have come in. It’s a risk for you I get it.”
Samira replied: “I’m not that stressed, I’ve said from day one… I want him to find someone, he wants me to find someone and the fact is he feels bad because he wants to crack on with someone who he feels likes him but I’ve not been nasty or said anything.”
In the Beach Hut, Samira insisted: “Josh was lecturing me on how Alex should have a chance, the girls are really into Alex and I thought, ‘Hun, I know. You don’t need to chat to me more about this. I just don’t want Alex to get hurt and if it’s genuine he’ll know and if not, he’ll also know.’”
Love Island continues nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.
