Next Love Island 2018 recoupling sees the girls in charge

Another Love Island recoupling awaits, and this time the girls are in charge.

In last night’s show, Adam received a text.

It read: “Tonight there will be a recouping in which the girls will choose which boy they want to couple up with.”

As things stand here’s how the couples currently: Alex George and Samira Mighty, Wes Nelson and Laura Anderson, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, Eyal Booker and Hayley Hughes and Adam Collard and Rosie Williams.

Georgia Steel is currently single after Niall Aslam left the villa, as are newbies Charlie Frederick, Megan Barton Hanson, and Josh Denzel.

Since the last recoupling there has been plenty of drama, such as Rosie and Adam’s big falling out.

Adam said: “Obviously recoupling’s looming right now. I would be lying if I didn’t say that I didn’t have a slight voice in the back of my head wondering if she was going to couple up with someone else.”

Rosie admitted: “I just feel like, if I recouple with him tonight, he’s got away with it so easy. It’s been a day after. It’s not two or three days after where he’s had to work for it. Do I follow my head or do I follow my heart?”

Meanwhile, new girl Megan is in a quandary of her own as she weighs up her obvious chemistry with Eyal alongside her growing connection to Alex. And with a recoupling around the corner, which of her two suitors will she commit to long term?

Megan outlines where her feelings currently stand in the Beach Hut: “Things with Eyal are good. In the game we kissed and stuff but it’s still early days. I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket and just write off everyone else because I don’t know.

“There’s other guys. Alex…I want the chance to talk to him today, and hopefully see how it is. See if we have a better vibe, if it’s more natural.”

After finally speaking to Alex one on one, Megan is left no closer to determining who she will choose at the recoupling: “I think we get on really, really well. I’m excited, I’ve got two options that I’m really happy about. I’m excited about tonight to see what happens.”

Questioned by the other girls on who she is going to pick, Megan outlines her current thinking: “Either Alex or Eyal. Because I do feel that someone like Alex, I need to give him a chance because I’ve always gone for the same type of guy based on looks or really shallow reasons. I’d have more fun with Eyal I think.

“But then is that me always doing the same thing, because he looks like my type. Alex is a proper man. I like that. I want both. Alex is such a beautiful person.”
