But insiders say it may not be able happen due to filming commitments on the next series of The Mummy Diaries.

A source explained: “Sam is currently in talks to appear on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, however there’s a concern that it may clash with her filming commitments for the upcoming series(s) of The Mummy Diaries.”

They added: “There’s a potential that Sam will be filming the next series of The Mummy Diaries in LA, which would rule her out of taking part in this year’s show.”
