The singing group are one of ten acts through to this evening’s final after the week of semi-finals.

The ladies won their spot in Monday’s first semi-final performance, winning the judges’ vote ahead of magician Maddox Dixon.

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, the group’s Katie, Emily, Jessica and Nicola said of their semi-final performance: “It was amazing to see the audience there with a flag in their hand, on their feet, young and old alike. It was a moment, to be sure.”

Revealing their plans for tonight’s live show, the women added: “We get our own input [for the final performance] but we’re going to honour the wonderful Vera Lynn, who endorses what we do and is a special lady to us, so we’re going to do a wonderful, classic Vera Lynn number.”

They said: “The younger generation may be looking into their own family history to see what their grandparents or great grandparents did, to keep it alive.

“Yeah we all have s connection and going back into more detail and looking into the history has been a really special, eye-opening moment.

“We really feel passionate to tell people to do this – time’s busy, life’s busy, and you don’t always have time to find it all out but it’s really important we keep it alive.”

The acts in the final are acrobats Giang Brothers and comedy singer Micky P Kerr, dancers DVJ, father and son singing duo Tim and Jack, comedian Robert White, singer Gruffydd Wyn Roberts, singer Donchez Dacres, singer Calum Courtney, comedian Lost Voice Guy and the D-Day Darlings in the final.

Joining them will be an eleventh wild card act, as chosen by the judges.

All the acts will be competing for a £250,000 cash prize, a spot on the Royal Variety Performance and a special prize from Simon Cowell.
