Britain’s Got Talent’s Marc Spelmann says he’d spend prize money on paying IVF bills

Britain’s Got Talent’s Marc Spelmann has revealed his plans for the prize money if he wins.

Marc had stunned Britain’s Got Talent in the first round of auditions with a mind reading trick.

It got Ant and Dec pressing the golden buzzer, seeing Marc through to the live shows this week.

Now just two performances away from winning the £250,000 prize money, Marc has said what he hopes to spend the cash on.

He told The Daily Star: “Having some security for our daughter Isabella and clearing debts…

“As IVF is expensive and I stopped working whilst Tessa was pregnant and fighting cancer…

“I love magic. It doesn’t always pay the bills but it’s what I do best.”

In his audition, Marc had asked each of the judges to randomly select something. David Walliams had to pick a random coloured crayon, Alesha Dixon a random card, Simon Cowell a random word and Amanda Holden had to randomly mess up a Rubik’s cube.

“This is not real magic, for me real magic changed two years ago, this to me is real magic,” said Marc before revealing pre-recorded clips of his young daughter correctly predicting the outcome of the judges’ choices.

It earned him a golden buzzer from Ant and Dec, seeing Marc straight through to the live shows.

Meanwhile, Marc has been forced to distance himself from old tweets slamming the show.

He wrote in 2012: “This is the last I’ll say I promise. #bgt is a mockery of entertainment.

“It’s a joke. Simon is laughing at the deluded public. Do not vote!”

Marc said his “thoughts and feelings on the show” had now changed.

“I have changed rather a lot in the last six years and the offhand tweets I made about Britain’s Got Talent many years ago in no way reflect my thoughts and feelings on the show now,” he said in a statement to The Sun newspaper. “I am a huge fan of the series and it has been a dream of mine to perform for the judges since before my daughter was born.”

Marc added: “The tweets were careless comments made from my sofa, which I have since deleted as I would not want to give the impression I feel that way.

“The outpouring of support I have received from the public since getting the golden buzzer has been overwhelming and I can’t thank Britain’s Got Talent and the public enough, I am very proud to be part of the show.”
