Comedian Lost Voice Guy and singers the D-Day Darlings are the first of ten finalists on Britain’s Got Talent 2018 this year.

The BGT 2018 semi-finalists were unveiled by the judges on Saturday and tonight saw the first of five semi-finals.

After thousands applied and hundreds auditioned for the judges all around the UK, the lucky few who received three or more yeses were whittled down to the final 35 acts who join this year’s five golden buzzers.

The final 40 perform in the Britain’s Got Talent live semi- finals all this week in the hope of winning the public vote and securing an all-important place in the live grand final and the chance of winning a life changing £250,000 and a coveted spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

Each evening two acts will make the final but this year it won’t just be down to the viewers. The act with the highest public vote will automatically go into the final while the judges will decide between the second and third placed acts as to who will join them.

Performing tonight were Alesha Dixon’s golden buzzer act, Lifford Shillingford, dancers Cali Swing, comedian Lost Voice Guy, vocal group The D-Day Darlings, escapologist Matt Johnson, quick change act Ellie and Jeki, dancer Shameer Rayes and magician Maddox Dixon.

In the results, host Dec first revealed the top three acts as the D-Day Darlings, Maddox and Lost Voice Guy.

Dec then announced the winner of the semi-final with the most votes and automatically through to the final as Lost Voice Guy.

That left the D-Day Darlings and Maddox facing the judges vote.

David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell voted for the D-Day Darlings while Alesha Dixon voted for Maddox.

Therefore, Lost Voice Guy and the D-Day Darlings are the first acts through to the final.

The finalists will go head to head in the grand finale next SUNDAY night, June 3..
