Chris Hughes thinks Love Island has a very big problem

Love Island star Chris Hughes thinks the show has a big problem.

The finalist on last year’s show recently broke up with girlfriend Olivia Attwood from the show.

And they’re far from the only ones to have seen their relationship crumble after life in the villa.

Just one couple from last year’s final remains together and Chris reckons the show doesn’t lead to genuine feelings.

He said on ITV’s Loose Women: “I just think it’s such an intense environment that you can get caught up in feelings that aren’t necessarily right at the time.”

However Chris says he has no regrets – and will definitely be tuning in for the next series this summer.

Alongside Olivia & Chris, winners Kem & Amber and Gabby & Marcel have also both split.

Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt remain the only one of last year’s final couples together.

Jamie and Camilla were runners up on Love Island but never made their relationship official on the show.

Outside the villa, things are going strong between them. “It’s been really fun, really surreal. I’m taking it one day at a time because it’s new territory. It’s hard to juggle and to know what decisions to make. It’s been an experience,” Jamie said.

He told new! magazine: “We’re absolutely great. We’re going from strength to strength.

“When we don’t see each other for one or two days and every body is like ‘Are you still together?’ We’re trying not to live our relationship too quickly.”

He added: “As you saw on the show, Cam and me take things at our own pace and we’re trying to be realistic. We’ll keep going like that.”

Love Island airs this summer on ITV2.
