Ruti Olajugbagbe's winner's single has dropped out of the Top 100 Chart following The Voice UK.
It was Ruti who won The Voice UK 2018 in this month's live show, beating the bookies' favourite Donel Mangena to the title.
Following her victory, Ruti released her winner's song on iTunes here. The single is a cover of The Cranberries' track Dreams, which Ruti closed the live grand final with.
The song made a strong debut in its first week on sale, peaking at Number 14, the second best result for a winner of The Voice UK to date.
However the track has since dropped over 80 places and out of the Top 100 altogether on its second week on the charts..
Ruti last week revealed she would be heading back to college following the show, putting her music career on hold until the summer.
"It’s surreal because on one hand I’m a normal 18-year-old, studying for my A-Levels, but at the same time I’m also mixing with Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am!" Ruti said. “But … I have my exams in June. Then I’m done.”
Once exams are out of the way, Ruti has big ambitions for her music.
"I want to make albums. I want to tour. I want to release singles. I want to collaborate with other artists," she told Hello magazine.
She added: “I’ll still continue making music even if I don’t become what people see as successful. As long as I’m getting a bit of money and making music, I’ll be OK.”
The Voice UK airs on ITV.
The show will return in 2019 for a brand new series while The Voice Kids will air later this summer.
