Love Island’s ‘sex rulebook’ revealed ahead of the new series

The rules that the Love Island contestants must obey in the villa have reportedly been revealed.

Over three series, the ITV2 show has become known for seeing its cast members hook up in front of cameras.

But a set of restrictions imposed on those who take part have this week been shared by the Daily Mirror newspaper.

One of the things the cast of each series are banned from doing is enjoying some ‘alone time’.

While the contestants are more than welcome to get frisky with one another, solo acts are said to be banned.

Also off limits is, perhaps surprisingly, nudity.

The contestants must do their best to avoid letting everything be seen by viewers.

Another of the show’s reported rules concerns alcohol.

The contestants are provided with a couple of drinks each evening and anyone who ends up getting too tipsy or outright drunk must not participate in any ‘adult activities’.

Meanwhile, the show’s team offer the group a counsellor to get advice from as well as access to emergency contraceptives, alongside condoms.

Finally, it’s reported that as part of taking part in the show the cast are provided a ‘handbook’ which details the rules as well as information on consent, safe sex, nudity and how to behave in the villa.

The new series of Love Island arrives soon on ITV2.

Although the channel have yet to officially announce when Love Island will be back on TV, host Caroline Flack has teased on Twitter it would return very soon.

Telling fans there were “2 months” to go last week, it seems as though we can expect Love Island to return within the first week of June.

Based on past years, Monday June 4 could be a possible start date for Love Island 2018.
