Former X Factor finalist Olly was a new coach on he latest series alongside returning Will.i.am Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson.

Speaking before the final on Saturday, Olly put himself forward for another series next year.

He said: “We’ve had initial talks with ITV. They’ve said they’d love me to come back – I’d love to come back. So until it’s all signed, sealed, delivered – we’ll see. But without a doubt I’d love to stay and come back.

“I can’t wait to do it again,” he continued in a chat with the Radio Times. “I hope I come back for many years.”

Olly went on: “Being around TV for as long as I have, the schedules and everything can be quite crazy. But it’s been so easy. The team behind the scenes, the production, ITV. It’s been flawless and really good fun. And this year we have found super talent.”

He added: “I’d love to come back next year. I don’t want to play cat-and-mouse and say: ‘Well, maybe.’ If they want me back then I’d sign tomorrow.”

While Olly wants to return, his fellow coaches aren’t as sure they want to be back.

Will.i.am has hinted he may quit The Voice UK after six years.

The Black Eyed Peas star has been on the show since the first series in 2012, when it aired on the BBC.

But he’s suggested that 2018 could be his last run.

Will, who has already been confirmed for The Voice Kids in the summer, made the comments ahead of Saturday’s final.

“I don’t know,” Will replied when asked if he’d return.
