The Chuckle Brothers say they’re up for joining the Celebrity Big Brother line up.
The comedy duo, who have been on TV screens for over 40 years, apparently almost entered the house previously.
The pair say they were in talks with show bosses but things didn’t work out.
Seemingly putting themselves forward for the show this summer, Barry said this week: “I’d probably do Celebrity Big Brother. We were asked and they were talking to us about it but nothing came of it.
“I think they thought we weren’t nasty enough.”
Brother Paul added to the Metro newspaper: “You never know, maybe one day we’ll give it a go.
“It would be fun, as long as they’ve got whisky in there and not just beer and wine.”
The new and potential last ever series of Celebrity Big Brother will air later in the year.
Alongside the Chuckle Brothers, early names rumoured for the line up include reality regular Charlotte Dawson , daughter of late comic Les Dawson, who last year appeared on Celebs Go Dating.
Goggleboxer Sandra Martin also been linked to the show – again. She had been rumoured for the cast of January’s series, and suggested she was axed by show bosses after revealing she was going in.
More rumoured names include TOWIE’s Pete Wicks, S Club 7’s Paul Cattermole, TOWIE’s Bobby Norris and X Factor blabbermouth Sinitta.
As yet, Channel 5 hasn’t revealed if it will be renewing the series beyond the end of the year.
Host Emma Willis recently revealed she was being kept in the dark just like the rest of us.
She said: “I’m hoping it doesn’t go anywhere, but no one’s told me anything yet. I would love it to make 2020. A nice round number and 20 years would be amazing.”
Ahead of the latest celebrity series, a new series of Big Brother will also air on Channel 5.
