Dancing On Ice 2018: Max Evans to attempt the headbanger in the final

Max Evans is going all out on the Dancing On Ice 2018 final tonight.

The rugby player is one of three finalists alongside singer Jake Quickenden and soap star Brooke Vincent.

And Max has revealed he'll be attempting the daring 'headbanger' move in a bid to top the viewer vote.

"We're really excited to be there, we've got a lot of work to do this week, we've got three routines," Max said ahead of tonight's live show. "The thought of potentially doing the Bolero, such an iconic routine, in front of Chris and Jayne, the prospect of that is huge.

"So we really want to work hard on our two routines which could get us to that final two."

He told The Sun newspaper: "We've got the headbanger, which I haven't done.

"I'm feeling it but again there'll only be pressure on if we get the chance to do it so we need to get the first two skates right."

Max will be skating to Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf and Perfect by Ed Sheeran for his first two routines. The celeb with the fewest votes will then be eliminated. The top two couples will then go through to perform their Bolero routine.

Max's pro partner Ale Izquierdo revealed: "We're really happy and hoping our Bolero gets to be performed as it's one of the hardest. It's our hardest routine in the whole run."

She added: "We've been waiting for our moment but we've never had a musical piece that has allowed us to put it in, but now we're doing it as it's strong music and it's a strong move.

"It's a really risky and dangerous move but we thought go for it as it's our last time to skate together. Let's just give it everything."

The Dancing on Ice final airs Sunday night from 7PM on ITV.
