Skater Frankie appeared on seven of the nine original series of Dancing On Ice between 2006 and 2014.

However she wasn’t invited back for this year’s revived tenth series, and has now hit out at the revamp.

“The viewing figures speak for themselves,” Frankie told The Sun of the revival. “First of all it makes me really sad to see the decisions that were made were the wrong ones.”

“Some of the production decisions they’ve made haven’t gone in their favour,” she explained.

Referring to former coaches Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill now acting as judges, Frankie added: “I think we’re definitely missing Chris and Jayne’s choreography.”

Chris and Jayne’s new role now sees the pros responsible for the choreography, which is now critiqued by the judges.

Frankie went on: “When we left the show three/four years ago for whatever reason it was decommissioned, the show wasn’t broken. So for producers to come back and say we want to change everything and make everything new perhaps wasn’t the right way forwards because the show wasn’t broken to start with.

“What we should’ve done is evolve the show into something better.”

The new series of Dancing On Ice began with over 7 million tuning in but numbers have since dropped to 5 million.

Dancing On Ice continues tonight at 6PM with the live semi-final.

This week the celebs face extra pressure as they face performing two brand new routines and a 30 second solo skate.

Currently just the four celebs remain on the current Dancing On Ice 2018 cast after eight weeks of competition.

Following each of the celeb’s latest live performances, it was ITV weatherman Alex Beresford who was voted off Dancing On Ice last week.
