Dancing On Ice chaos as contestants struggle to rehearsals in the snow

The Dancing On Ice contestants have been left unable to train due to, err, ice.

The adverse weather across the country over the past 48 hours has left stars unable to rehearse ahead of the semi-final.

And two celebs have even been involved in car crashes trying to make it to practice.

Dancing On Ice host Phillip Schofield revealed on ITV's This Morning: "We got a text from our boss this morning, Katie Rawcliffe on Dancing On Ice - snow causing havoc for the celebs.

"Jake and Kem were both in minor car accidents on their way to training, both in separate cars.

"Jake had to abandon his car but both are fine."

Jake tweeted: "Be careful if you're out in the snow, had a nightmare morning, skidded going life 5mph and bumped another car that was broken down, everyone ok, but the roads are tragic so please be careful!!"

This week the celebs face extra pressure as they face performing two brand new routines.

Currently just the four celebs remain on the current Dancing On Ice 2018 cast after eight weeks of competition.

Following each of the celeb's latest live performances, it was ITV weatherman Alex Beresford who was voted off Dancing On Ice last week.

Alex and pro skater Brianne faced the skate off against Love Island's Kem Cetinay and his pro partner Alex Murphy.

Those left on the Dancing On Ice line up are Max Evans and his pro skater Ale Izquierdo and Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent and her pro partner Matej Silecky.

Also back on the ice this weekend will be Love Island's Kem and his pro partner Alex and X Factor's Jake Quickenden and skater Vanessa Bauer.

Jake is the hot favourite to win.

Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for bookies BoyleSports said: “Now 1/4 from 1/3, it looks like it will be a straight forward skate to the finish line for Jake Quickenden.”

Dancing On Ice 2018 continues Sunday night at 6PM on ITV with the semi-final.
