Love Island’s Gabby Allen has hit out after receiving racist abuse over her relationship with Marcel Somerville.

Blazin’ Squad star Marcel met Gabby on Love Island last year and the pair remained coupled up.

Now almost a year on from meeting, Gabby has revealed she’s still seeing shocking racist abuse over the relationship.

“I’ve just been reading comments on an article and I won’t even say which one cause to be honest, they’re just too cruel and I’m embarrassed to publicise it further. It actually move me to tears,” she reportedly wrote in a post on Instagram.

In the since deleted message, shared by the Daily Mail, Gabby continued: “I don’t know why I looked but after reading one comment, I was intrigued. I find it baffling that people feel that have the right to write abusive, disrespectful, racist, just damn right mean comments about someone else. Do they not have friends or family that if they received abuse of the same kind, they would be heartbroken by it?

“I hope all these keyboard warriors get found out one day and hurt as much as the upset they have had the audacity to put strangers through.”

She added: “I was so upset I had to acknowledge it. These idiots shouldn’t get away with everything. But it’s not all negative! The support and love from the majority of people is so unbelievably heartwarming and 100% outweighs the bad.

“I thank each of you that writes any sort of support, even a little love doesn’t go unnoticed xx.”

Away from the haters, Marcel and Gabby have teased plans for marriage – and even kids.

Speaking earlier this month, Marcel revealed that both were ‘on the cards’ for them.

“It’s only been a short time, but marriage is definitely on the cards, 100 per cent,” he said. “And once you’re married, you start talking about having kids.

“We’re going to take our time, but there might possibly be something coming up in the near future,” Marcel teased.

He told new! magazine of a potential proposal: “I’ll know when it is, and I’ll obviously be preparing for that prior to the question being popped.

“Give it a year or so. End of 2018? Maybe the start of 2019? Who knows?!”

Love Island returns in the summer on ITV2.
