Paul finished as runner-up of the ITV contest in 2003, and is remembered for his hilarious screams during the ‘Hell Holes’ Bushtucker Trial.

More recently, former Geordie Shore cast member Vicky was crowned winner in 2015, going on to present spin-off Extra Camp.

Now they’re reliving the jungle experience after signing up for the show’s Australian version, which films in South Africa.

The duo have joined its fourth series as late entrants, arriving 17 days in to a six-week run.

They had no idea they’d be taking part together, meeting each other at a waterfall before moving in to camp.

The new “bessie mates” had the chance to chat over a cup of tea, discussing why they’d agreed to do I’m A Celebrity again.

“When they told me there’s an opportunity to do it again, how could you turn it down?” commented Paul.

“I totally agree, it’s the best experience I’ve ever had in my whole life,” replied Vicky. “It changed everything, my outlook, my career, the way I experience stuff.”

However, Paul was fully aware that their second stints could prove more challenging.

“We’re on the back foot this time, because they’ve already formed their little band,” he added.

Prior to their arrivals, bosses had teased the addition of two British contestants with the tagline ‘The Royals are Coming’.

Vicky’s UK victory earned her the title ‘Queen of the Jungle’, while Paul is of course notable for being the former butler of Princess Diana.

He is also known Down Under for being a judge on reality TV show Australian Princess, which was memorably lampooned on Harry Hill’s TV Burp.

Other British stars that have appeared on I’m A Celebrity Australia include cricketer Freddie Flintoff, who won its first series.
