Dancing On Ice’s viewing figures dropped over a million viewers for its second episode last night.
Legendary skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean were reunited with original hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the show that sees celebrity skaters take to the ice in a bid to dance and dazzle their way to glory.
Having originally run on ITV between 2006 and 2014, the series was back on ITV for its first series in four years last weekend.
A whopping audience of 7.5 million tuned in to the opening episode of the revival, but that dropped to 6 million for yesterday’s show.
The second live instalment peaked with an audience of 7.4 million for its two hour long show between 6PM and 8PM that saw the second half of the celebrity skaters perform for the judges.
The show saw the first skate off of the series as one celebrity couple were sent home following the first weeks of live performances.
Following Dancing On Ice last night, Vera returned for its eighth series with 6.6 million viewers, down 500,000 week-on-week but the most watched show on TV last night.
Across on the other side and on BBC One, Countryfile was the most watched show for the channel, with an audience of 5.6 million.
The Queen documentary The Coronation had 5.7 million while episode 5 of McMafia dropped to 3.5 million, down on last Sunday’s 4.1 million.
