Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas is set to score a new job on UK telly.

Shirley could be about to swap the Strictly judges' desk for the Loose Women panel.

After proving a hit on BBC One series last autumn, ITV are reportedly keen to snap Shirley up for their day time show.

The Sun reports that Loose Women bosses want Shirley to become a regular guest on the popular lunchtime series.

"No one really knew Shirley in the UK before she joined Strictly but she has won a place in the nation’s hearts," a source said this week.

They told The Sun newspaper: “She isn’t afraid to speak her mind and has led a really interesting life that people know very little about.

“If she enjoys her time on the programme, ITV bosses are really keen for her to return on a regular basis.”

Meanwhile, Shirley is expected to return to Strictly this year alongside Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.

She said of her first series: "I have thoroughly enjoyed it. As of yet nothing has been decided [about the next series]."

Shirley gave herself a "seven out of 10" for her first series: "I think I did very good, so I think I would score myself a seven, I believe [in] anything you do there is room for improvement.

It'll be the show's 16th series following another record breaking year in 2017.

Strictly had over 13 million viewers for its final in December, the second most watched show of the previous 12 months. Blue Planet 2 was Number 1 with 14 million tuning in.
