Brexit was the latest political topic up for discussion on Celebrity Big Brother 2018 yesterday.
However it wasn’t quite a Question Time debate between the housemates.
Ann Widdecombe and Jess Impiazzi discussed the issue of the UK leaving the EU over breakfast.
Jess said of her views: “I read one party’s ideas and I read the other’s but they were throwing the great stuff at us and I didn’t know the underlying bad stuff.
“It all got really confusing.”
Ann replied: “I’ll tell you how I decided on Brexit, ask yourself what’s important, ask yourself whether you can have it in or out and make a decision.
“Mine was the sovereignty argument so that’s what I did.”
Jess then admitted: “You’ll probably hate me for this but I didn’t vote for the reason I was stuck.
“I didn’t want to be one of those people who just voted for copying other people. I have a Conservative family, I’ve got very Labour friends and both of them are just chucking stuff at me. I’m not a politician. I didn’t read enough. I was too scared to contribute to it. It was a chicken way out. I didn’t know what to do.”
Ann told her: “We’re celebrating 100 years of women having the vote.
“And you just told me you didn’t bother.”
Elsewhere in tonight’s show, India talks about her gender reassignment surgery, a discussion about NHS spending follows.
Later in the bedroom, Rachel asks India to see her “tits”. There is much appreciation for them.
India says: “They just feel right. They fit. It’s a weird thing but it just fits how I feel. And I’ve always felt, but now they’re actually there, it’s terrific.”
Celebrity Big Brother 2018 continues nightly on Channel 5 at 9PM.
