Rylan Clark-Neal has spoken out about rumours he was 'sacked' from ITV's This Morning.
The X Factor star turned TV presenter announced last month he'd be leaving the show from January.
Discussing his departure, Rylan explained on ITV's Lorraine: "I’ve been working constantly for five years and I just need time to myself."
Rylan previously took to Twitter this week to dismiss the idea he had been fired.
He wrote on Twitter: "Rumours in the press why I'm "leaving" or been "axed" from @ThisMorning.
"Truth is I need a break. I’ve been working constantly for 5 years and I need time to myself."
Rylan added: "I’ll still be at Big Bro. I just need to take some time to myself. That’s all. I’ll be back soon."
However the message prompted a flurry of criticism from some of Rylan's followers, forcing him to delete the tweet.
"Try working 20 years for the NHS we could all do with a break!" one replied.
Another commented: "I've been working constantly for 37 years! Oh, to be able to take some time off? It would be lovely."
Eventually removing his original tweet, Rylan replaced it with an eye-roll emoji.
He then posted: "WHEN YOU PUT A NICE LITTLE TWEET UP AND PEOPLE PIPE UP..... I’ll just keep it simple....... I’ve not been sacked from @thismorning just having some time off that’s all. Night."
So at least that's all cleared up then.
