It was Tokio who won Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year, securing himself £250,000 and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance bill.

The show aired last night (Tuesday, December 19) on ITV but was filmed earlier this year.

And after watching the edit, it seems as though Tokio was rather unhappy with what made it to air.

“My performance was weirdly chopped up & edited by @ITV Wasn’t quite what I had planned ? #RoyalVariety,” Tokio tweeted.

Miranda Hart hosted this year’s show, in the presence of members of the Royal family, Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge. The event took place at the iconic London Palladium Theatre, which was host for the 41st time.

Following Tokio’s tweet, fans of the rising star replied to show their support.

“It’s a shame. In my opinion, Miranda Hart and waaaaay too much air time. You were the act I was most looking forward to seeing too ?,” one complained.

Another raved: “My whole family were watching you and said you were the most passionate and talented act of the night, you made the night!❤”

Other stars who appeared on the Royal Variety Performance of 2017 included the legendary Kelsey Grammer who performed, with his cast, an exclusive extract from the new musical Big Fish; plus The Killers, Seal, Louis Tomlinson, The Leading Ladies – Beverly Knight, Cassidy Janson and Amber Riley – and The Script, and Paloma Faith.
