Amir Khan has hit back at accusations he 'bullied' Iain Lee on I'm A Celebrity 2017.

TV watchdog Ofcom has received more than 300 complaints over this year's shows from viewers.

Fans have accused some of the celebs - namely Amir, Dennis Wise and Jamie Lomas - of picking on Iain.

Following his exit last week, Dennis denied the claims and Amir has now too spoken up.

After his departure on Friday night, he said: "I’ve never bullied Iain in any way, it’s the opposite, I would be the one to put my arm around him and tell him not to worry. I would always walk with him and talk to him about life, I wanted to make him feel better.

“So to be cast as the bad guy has really hurt and upset me."

In an interview with The Sun on Sunday newspaper, Amir insisted: “I count Iain as a friend and I told him I would try to help out in any way I could, like signing boxing gloves for his sons and help him financially by giving him money if he ever needed it. I can’t believe that I’ve come out to all this.

Reflecting on unseen moments in camp, Amir revealed: “At one time, when he was lonely and sitting on his own, I was the only one who was checking if he was OK.

"I would even go and wash pots and pans with him, when I didn’t need to, just to give him some company and make him feel part of the group.

Amir said he was "never called into that Bush Telegraph and given a talking to" and that the production team were never concerned.

"We don’t think any bullying happened," Amir concluded.

I'm A Celebrity 2017 finishes with its live final tonight on ITV.
