Amir Khan and Jamie Lomas struggled to locate Australia in the latest I’m A Celebrity 2017 Dingo Dollar Challenge – even though it’s the country the ITV show is filmed in.

Yesterday, the lads were led to a giant world map for a geography challenge named ‘Plane and Simple’.

Their task was to put a line between a departure and arrival point on the map, measure the distance, and use it to work out the flight time between the two locations.

Once all the correct answers had been posted on a departures board, they could release the Dingo Dollars.

“Geography is one of my strong points, because I do travel quite a lot and I’m always on the planes looking at the map,” claimed Amir.

Unfortunately, they proved to be famous last words for the boxer as the duo worked out a flight from the UK to the Sydney Opera House.

Even though they made lengthy journeys to Oz for the jungle reality show, Amir ended up closer to Canada while trying to find it on the map.

It took a few more tries before he and Jamie worked out that the flight time was 24 hours, rather than eight.

“It’s the map that’s confusing,” insisted Amir. “It was very difficult and at the same time I had Jamie who has no clue at all about any countries.”

Eventually they got hold of the precious Dollars, and at the Outback Shack they spent them on chocolate cupcakes, rather than toast, butter and jam.

Kiosk Keith then called Croc Creek to ask the other celebs their teaser question: “What percentage of the British public believe they have above average looks – 24% or 34%?”

Iain Lee was angry about having another survey-based query, joking in the Bush Telegraph: “These questions are complete and utter balls!

“You might as well just phone us up and spout gibberish, because we haven’t got a hope in hell of getting the answer. It’s a fix!”

Jennie McAlpine asked Dennis Wise if he thought he was particularly good-looking.

“Well I would like to think I am, I was once in the 100 hunks, would you believe that?” the footballer laughed.

Toff also gave her own take on the subject, saying: “I think everyone should look in the mirror and think, ‘I have above average looks’.”

The group’s answer of 34% turned out to be correct, and there was much jubilation when Amir and Jamie returned with the sweet treats.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs nightly on ITV until Sunday’s grand final.
