Celebrity Big Brother 2018 launches tonight but how long does it last and when is the final?
The new series is confirmed to be starting this evening on Channel 5.
Celebrity Big Brother will start tonight from 9PM, running for 90 minutes with host Emma Willis.
The first Bit On The Side airs from 11:30PM. Live streaming from the house then runs between 12:30AM and 1:15AM on Wednesday (January 3) morning.
As usual, the show will then continue nightly at 9PM on Channel 5 for around a month.
How long is Celebrity Big Brother on for?
The exact running time has yet to be confirmed at the moment but in recent years the final has been in the first few days of February.
The past three series have ended on February 3, 5 and 6 respectively.
However the precise time Celebrity Big Brother is on for may be extended or reduced based on viewing figures.
Last month saw Channel 5 announce a brand new Celebrity Big Brother series for 2018, which will have a ‘women first’ twist.
The series will begin with an all female cast with male celebrities joining later.
And it’ll be a battle of the sexes that Channel 5 say will “challenge stereotypes”.
The twist will mark 100 years since women won the right to vote for the very first time.
Presented by Emma Willis, Celebrity Big Brother will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house together.
When the male celebrities join, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments.
Channel 5 said: “These will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century.
“See what happens when women hold the power, as Celebrity Big Brother January 2018 is set to be celebratory, surprising and insightful.”
Celebrity Big Brother 2018 starts tonight on Channel 5 alongside spin-off show Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On the Side which returns weeknights with Rylan Clark-Neal.
