Strictly Come Dancing semi-final: Two dances for the remaining celebs

It's the Strictly Come Dancing 2017 semi-final next weekend and the pressure is on for the couples.

It was Davood Ghadami who became the unlucky star to miss out on the semi-final in last night's Strictly results to leave us with the final five celebrity contestants.

Those left on the Strictly 2017 line up this year are Debbie McGee, TV personality, presenter and the widow of magician Paul Daniels, soap star Joe McFadden and actress Gemma Atkinson

Also still fighting for the glitterball is singer Mollie King and singer Alexandra Burke, who was in the bottom two.

The remaining five couples in the competition will return next weekend where, for the first time this series, they will each be performing two dances in the hope of reaching the Grand Final on Saturday 16th of December.

With the bookies, Debbie is now the current favourite after the latest results.

Meanwhile, despite being one of, if not the strongest dancer in the competition, bookies have been forced to push Alexandra's odds of winning out to 4/1 after facing the dreaded dance-off two weeks running.

Debbie heads the betting at 6/4, followed by Joe at 7/4. There's double figure prices on offer for a surprise victory from Gemma (12/1) or Mollie (16/1).

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "Alexandra is arguably the most unpopular favourite we've ever seen on the show. Her scores should see her waltzing away with the trophy, but after back-to-back dance-offs we've been forced to push her odds out as viewers clearly aren't picking up the phone to vote for her."

Meanwhile, Davood and Nadiya will be joining Zoe Ball for their first exclusive televised interview live on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on Monday 4th December at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
