Jamie Vardy admits voting for wife Rebekah to face I’m A Celebrity 2017 eating Trial

Jamie Vardy may be in the doghouse when his wife Rebekah leaves I’m A Celebrity 2017, after he owned up to casting five votes for her to face an eating Bushtucker Trial.

Earlier this week, a public vote chose Becky and Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo to nosh on jungle nasties in the ‘Worst Dates’ challenge.

On her way to the set, Becky sent out a warning to her other half.

“If my husband has voted for me to do this Trial, he’ll be in so much trouble,” she vowed.

Now Jamie has confessed that he indeed submitted five of the votes that got her in to the disgusting dilemma.

The Leicester City footballer posted an image on Twitter of Becky open-mouthed in shock during the Trial, claiming he had good intentions when picking up the phone.

“Bex’s face when she finds out that I voted for her 5 times on the app to do the eating trial,” he wrote.

“Sorry babe, just wanted everyone to see that you’re fearless & you proved me right.”

Becky ended up eating fermented duck egg, sheep anus, vomit fruit and ostrich foot among other foul foods.

However, she and Toff put in a stellar performance, earning eight out of a possible nine meals for their campmates.

The only one they missed was during a 45-second timed round, when they had 45 seconds to share a plate of crickets, cockroaches and mealworms.

Becky is currently living in the bare-bones Snake Rock camp with only rice and beans to eat after falling foul of a camp divide twist.

She was not one of the five original campmates that newcomer Iain Lee chose to stay in Croc Creek after he became the jungle ‘Prime Minister’.
