TOWIE star Gemma has apparently been eyeing up a spot on Strictly Come Dancing next year.

But Craig has shot down her chances, despite admitting she would make for a “fun” celebrity contestant.

“Gemma Collins would be fun on the show but it’s not very often that we have reality stars take to the ballroom,” he said.

Craig added:“We generally have people of a higher calibre than that.”

According to The Sun newspaper previously, Gemma had promised not to sue the BBC after THAT fall at the Radio 1 Teen Awards if they let her on Strictly.

Gemma took an unfortunate stumble while on stage and ended up falling down a pit.

“It is a miracle I am living to tell the tale,” a completely not over the top Gemma said after the tumble. “I could have died or at least been disabled at the end of it. I could have been legless.”

And at the time, Gemma said she was speaking to lawyers about the incident.

A source claimed Gemma was offering to ditch the potential lawsuit for a spot on Strictly’s next series.

“Gemma is deadly serious about the Strictly trade off,” the insider alleged. “She has said to BBC that she will not pursue legal action if they give her a slot on the show.

“She loves Strictly and has always wanted to have a crack at it. She thinks this might be her chance to get on the show.”

The current series of Strictly is back this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
