Strictly Come Dancing judges accused of ‘favouring’ Susan Calman

The Strictly Come Dancing judges have been accused of ‘favouring’ Susan Calman after she signed up for the live tour.

This week it was announced that Susan was one of twos celeb confirmed for next year’s arena tour, alongside Jonnie Peacock.

Susan Calman said: “This is an absolute dream come true, I can’t wait to continue my Strictly adventure and visit these legendary arenas across the country. Roll on January!”

But the news has seemingly caused a bit of an outrage behind the scenes.

The Sun reports that some think that the Strictly judges have been overmarking Susan to keep her in the show for longer.

“The theory is that she’s agreed to the tour, which is a big money-spinner, and bosses want her in the show for as long as possible,” an insider explained. “Susan is a nice woman and a lot of fun but she’s plainly not among the top dancers.

“Some of the stronger stars such as Aston Merrygold, weren’t afforded the same treatment despite their talent.”

Last week viewers hit out at the panel for their marks, with some fans accusing them of undermarking Mollie King and overmarking SUsan.

One wrote: “#Strictly2017 I’m sorry but Mollie and Aj deserved more than that! Their dance was one of the best I’ve seen so far ?”

Another commented: “Crikey… ridiculously low marks for mollie and AJ on @bbcstrictly it wasn’t perfect but that was just odd…#bizarre”

A third raged: “so fed up of the constant s**t that the judges give Mollie, how dare Bruno give Mollie a 5 and Susan an 8? such a f**king mess. #Strictly.”

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 is back on Saturday night on BBC One, live from Blackpool.
