I’m A Celebrity bosses ‘hopeful of a jungle romance’

I’m A Celebrity bosses are reportedly hopeful of a jungle romance this year.

They’ve signed a number of singletons and there are hopes some additions to camp will encourage coupling up.

It’ll be just like Love Island, only with a lot more cockroaches.

The changes to the camp this year include a new ‘bathroom’ – which is really just a tub in the middle of the jungle – and a romantic swing seat.

Series producer Oliver Nash explained: “The new features to the camp this year will add an interesting new element.

“The bath is an exciting new luxury that will probably be popular with some of the more image conscious so they can get really clean. The swing seat would be nice for a couple to sit in and we have some good potential couples coming our way.”

He added to The Sun newspaper: “It’s also place to get away from campmates and have a moan about the people who are getting on their nerves. I can imagine Stanley Johnson sitting on his throne putting the world to rights too.”

The I’m A Celebrity 2017 line up was confirmed earlier this week and features a number of stars who are single and ready to mingle.

Ahead of Sunday’s launch, The Saturdays singer Vanessa White admits she is keeping an open mind when it comes to finding love under the stars.

The bubbly pop star reckons nobody can second-guess what will happen on I’m A Celebrity. “Who knows? I am keeping my options open,” she said when asked if she’d like to find a boyfriend in the camp.

Also single is Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, who is keeping his cards close to his chest. The soap actor says he doesn’t know what is in store for him but won’t rule anything out.

“That’s the whole enjoyment of lifeand the element of surprise,” he says.

I’m A Celebrity 2017 starts Sunday night at 9PM on ITV.
