Tonight Strictly was back after a super shock exit last week.

Favourite Aston Merrygold made a surprise elimination last Sunday night and proved that no one was safe.

All nine of the remaining celebs performed a brand new routine, hoping to make it though to the Blackpools special next weekend.

But in there way were judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, who scored the remaining stars on their latest dances out of 40 as usual.

It was Alexandra Burke and Davood Ghadami who shared the top spot with 38 points each.

Debbie McGee was second with her Salsa failing to match last week's perfect 40, scroing 35 marks from the panel.

At the other end, Ruth Langsford is bottom of the leaderboard again.

She scored just 18 points for her Foxtrot which the judges compared to a horse galloping around the dancefloor.

Ruth has been installed as the favourite to go - but after last week we'll never be sure of a Strictly result again.

Aoife Heffron, Spokeswoman for bookmakers BoyleSports said: “Ruth Langsford is the 7/4 favourite to waltz away this weekend, but after 100/1 shot Aston was booted last week, who knows what will happen this weekend.”

As always, the judges' scores will be combined with the viewer vote to determine the overall scoreboard for the weekend.

The two celebrity couples in the bottom two of the overall rankings will find themselves having to dance again in tomorrow night's (Sunday) fourth results show.
