Ruth Langsford is the favourite to miss out on Strictly Come Dancing's Blackpool special in tonight's results.

After Aston Merrygold’s shock elimination from Strictly Come Dancing it seems no one is safe from the chop, however, according to the betting there are two celebs in particular that should be quaking in their sequins.

Last week's bottom of the Leaderboard, Ruth Langsford is the 7/4 favourite to be sent packing as she continues to score low.

Also in danger is Susan Calman, who is the current 2/1 second favourite to be next eliminated.

Jonnie Peacock and Davood Ghadami are both next at 5/1 apiece, which in past weeks would suggest they are moderately safe, although we have seen that anything can happen.

Mollie King featured in the dance off against Aston last weekend and is 8/1 to fall victim to it this week.

Some Strictly fans are saying that being in the dance off could be a good omen for the Saturdays star after past winners Caroline Flack, Kellie Bright and Ore Oduba all featured in the week 7 dance off before eventually taking the Glitterball.

Her odds to win don’t support this theory however at 16/1.

Debbie McGee is the 6/4 favourite to win after taking over the top spot from Aston, with Alexandra Burke her only real threat to the title at 2/1.

The top eight acts who make it through this weekend will head to Blackpool the Saturday after for the iconic live show from the famous Tower ballroom.

Aoife Heffron, Spokeswoman for BoyleSports commented “Ruth Langsford is the 7/4 favourite to waltz away this weekend, but after 100/1 shot Aston was booted last week, who knows what will happen this weekend.”

She added: “Alexandra Burke has suffered a slight drift ahead of this weekend’s performance, now 2/1 from 15/8 to win, and will need to impress if she wants to outdo frontrunner Debbie McGee.”

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 results air on Sunday night at 7:15PM on BBC One.
