Who was fired from The Apprentice 2017 this week? The latest results are in from tonight’s show.
In this evening’s show (Week 6), the candidates headed to Belgium for a very special task.
After mixing up the teams, Lord Sugar sent the contestants off to Bruges. Their task was to plan and execute a bespoke tour of the Belgian city by signing-up paying customers and operating as tour guides; plus to boost cash both teams will sell souvenirs on board the ship home.
As is typically the case, the most money wins.
The Apprentice 2017 results
Team Graphene was led by Elizabeth with Bushra, Harrison, Sajan, Sarah, James and Joanna. They made a profit of £803.06 after costs and refunds were taken out of their sales.
On Team Vitality, the Project Manager wa: Sarah-Jayne with Charles, Michaela, Andrew, Jade and Anisa. They made a profit of £660.36 after costs and refunds were deducted.
In the boardroom, Lord Sugar was immediately critical of Andrew’s ‘laddish’ behaviour on the task: “This is a business process. This is not a holiday camp or someplace where you are here to enjoy yourself.”
Sarah-Jayne, Andrew and Charles then argued over who was most responsible for the failure of the task before Lord Sugar interrupted the candidates’ arguments to give his verdict.
“I don’t want to hear anything more from any of you,” he declared. “Sarah-Jayne, you appointed yourself project manager because you wanted to prove yourself to me. Fact, you have not proved yourself to me.
“Charles, you are like Mr. Hindsight. You tell everybody what went wrong and why it went wrong after the event, but what I don’t hear is what you did right, what you’ve ever done right.”
On Andrew, Lord Sugar continued: “And you, young man, I’ve already spoken to you about your attitude. I’ve got to invest £250,000, and I’m thinking there is no way on this earth that you are ever going to be a business partner of mine.”
“Charles, your CV talks about what a great business man you are, I ain’t seen any of that.
“Sarah-Jayne, I’ve been wondering what you do, and now I know what you do. It seems to me that you’ve moved yourself over to a convenient place and I think you’ve been in a convenient place for the last six weeks.”
“For that reason, Sarah-Jayne – you’re fired!”
Sarah-Jayne will talk to Rhod Gilbert on You’re Fired! on BBC Two at 10pm tonight. He will be joined by guests Nish Kumar, Claude Littner and Allyson Stewart Allen for a fresh and unique take on the highlights of The Apprentice as well as the first exclusive interview with the fired candidate.
The Apprentice 2017 continues Wednesday 15th November, 9pm on BBC One and BBC One HD
