The former newspaper editor turned Good Morning Britain presenter suggested no amount would get him in the jungle.

“I’ve been offered lots of money for these things, to go and eat bugs,” he said on the ITV show today. “They say ‘hey, do you want to go to a jungle in Australia and eat kangaroo testicles as Ant and Dec mock you?’ – no thanks.”

Piers continued: “Why would I do that?

“Then they say they’d give X amount and you’re like ‘please, add a couple of noughts.

“So they do then you’re like ‘no thanks.'”

Piers isn’t the only celeb to turn down the show with Heather Mills and Stephanie Pratt also saying no to this year’s cast.

But – while no names are official just yet – there have been quite a number of rumours about who WILL be in the jungle this year.

With less than two weeks to go until the new series launches, names on the rumoured IAC cast for 2017 range from Goggleboxer Sandra Martin to Ex-Wimbledon Tennis champ Boris Becker.

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby, The Saturdays’ singer Vanessa White, Hollyoaks hunk Jamie Lomas, former rugby player Ben Cohen MBE, Tattoo Fixers star Paisley Billings and The Only Way Is Essex’s Kate Wright have all been linked to the line up.

Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo is also said to have signed up, alongside Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here launches on November 19 on ITV.
