Strictly Come Dancing 2017 ‘love triangle causing backstage drama’

A supposed love triangle is causing problems backstage on Strictly Come Dancing 2017.

Although it’s not quite what you’d expect.

According to tabloid rumours, Gemma Atkinson has been getting close to Gorka Marquez – and his celeb partner Alexandra Burke apparently isn’t happy.

Just weeks into the new series, there were rumours of Gemma and pro dancer Gorka getting flirty with one another at the launch show.

Gemma is partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec but it was Gorka – paired up with Alexandra – who she had been reportedly getting flirty with.

This week Gemma played down the claims in an interview with OK! Magazine, saying: “There was an online poll that asked who I should get with and they said Gorka, so it started there.

“I’ve only seen him for the launch and the live shows. He’s a friend and the only thing we’ve shared is his guacamole recipe.”

However The Sun reports that Gemma and Gorka have continued to get close, and Alexandra is said to be “furious”.

“Gorka and Gemma are together. It’s the talk of the make-up room,” an insider alleged. “Not surprisingly, Alexandra is furious about how it might impact her chances of winning. She’s very ambitious and is nervous about it all.”

As for Gorka and Gemma, the insider added: “At this point she wouldn’t describe him as her boyfriend because they haven’t spent enough time together as they’re both focused on rehearsing.”

At least they’re both single!

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 continues Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One.

This weekend is the movie themed special as the celebs re-create iconic scenes from the big screen.

On Sunday night, another of the line up will leave.
