Former Big Brother housemate Lisa Appleton had been hoping for a stint on I'm A Celebrity.
The Big Brother 9 housemate - who entered the house with then husband Mario - had supposedly been in talks with the show.
She even took part in a mock promo photoshoot, posing in a 'jungle' and eating bugs.
"Only a few people knew that Lisa had been in touch with the I'm a Celeb team," a source had claimed. "They were interested, but in the end they said they weren't going to offer her a spot this time."
But The Sun reports that I'm A Celebrity bosses have been left "baffled" by the suggestion Lisa was in talks with them and have no clue who she is.
"I'm sure she's a lovely lady, but she's just not high profile enough for the show," an I'm A Celeb insider told the publication.
Since leaving Big Brother, Lisa has become a tabloid favourite thanks to her outlandish photoshoots and attention grabbing interviews.
Earlier this month it was suggested she had moved to LA to forge a new showbiz career for herself.
"I'm AMAZED the A-Listers I'm touching shoulders with #Singers #Music #Actors absolutely buzzing ππ€πI'm 1 lucky girl can't believe it πππ" she tweeted.
Lisa added: βHaving an amazing time in #LosAngeles #BeverleyHills #HollyWood can't believe what's happening Awesome πππππ.β
Maybe in a few years, I'm A Celebrity will indeed be calling her with an offer...
For now, rumoured I'm A Celebrity contestants include The Saturdays' singer Vanessa White, Made In Chelsea's Louise Thompson, reality star Gemma Collins and Tattoo Fixers star Paisley Billings.
I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2017 will start on ITV in the autumn.
The show, hosted by Ant and Dec, typically begins in November.
