Lord Sugar has went on Twitter to deny rumours of a rift between him and his employee, The Apprentice 2010 winner Stella English after she was appointed to YouView, an on-demand TV service that Lord Sugar was appointed chairman of in March.
English's new appointment lead to speculation with many wondering if it signalled a rift between Sugar and his apprentice. Explaining the new job, Sugar sharply tweeted: ''Media asked if there was a problem/conflict with Stella at [original company] Viglen. Total garbage, expect lies tomorrow. Unbelievable negative world we live in (sic).''
He added: ''That's the beauty of Twitter, I can tell you the real story on Stella, with 600k followers, that's more than the circulation of some papers.'' Stella won the sixth series of the popular BBC reality series beating Chris Bates to win a £100k job in last year's final.
After her win at the time, Stella described the feeling of winning as ''phenomenal'' saying: ''I'm so excited about the future. It's all been worth it, all that blood, sweat and tears...I'm just so happy.'' The seventh series of the show which is currently airing on BBC1 sees a new prize of a £250k partnership investment into starting a business of the winning candidate's choice
