Love Island’s Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay have reportedly signed their own record deal.
According to tabloid claims, the reality telly favourites have penned a contract with Sony imprint Relentless Records, the same label as Professor Green.
The Sun newspaper says the pair are set to put out a rap record together after talks with music bosses.
An industry source explained: “They have been in talks to sign a record deal since leaving the villa.
“Kem and Chris captured the nation this summer – and everyone including Stomzy was keen to see them pursue their love of music. They’re really excited to have been given this opportunity – it’s like a dream come true.”
The record deal news comes ahead of Chris and Kem’s very own reality show.
Called Straight Outta Love Island, the new two-part series will air later this year.
“Britain’s best loved bromance is back in action,” ITV2 teased in an announcement last month, “Island’s most popular duo Chris and Kem reunite to embrace life outside of the villa in ‘Chris & Kem: Straight Outta Love Island’.”
The two part show exclusive to ITV2 will see the loveable twosome set out on a musical journey of discovery, as they explore the world of rap, grime and hip-hop.
On reuniting for ITV2, Kem said: “Amber aside, Chris was the best thing to come out of the Love Island villa for me. He’s like an actual brother, so when the opportunity came up to pick up where we left off and take our bromance to the next level it was a no brainer.”
Chris added: “Some of my best nights in the Love island villa were rapping around the fire with my boy Kem. We’re not here to take part, we’re here to takeover!”
Chris & Kem: Straight Outta Love Island will air on ITV2.
