The new series of The Only Way Is Essex is back on our screens this month.
The precise TOWIE start date 2017 has now been confirmed with the show back on ITVBe on Sunday, September 10 at 10PM.
It’s the twenty-first series of the show and the first episode will see the cast enjoy a sunshine getaway in Marbella.
TOWIE cast
There have been a few changes to the show’s cast with some new and returning faces.
Those back include couples Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna and Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou.
Mario Falcone, Mike Hassini, Gemma Collins, Lauren Pope, Chloe Sims, Jon Clark, Amber Turner, Chloe Meadows, Bobby Norris, James Diags, Liam Gatsby and Dan Edgar are all also expecting to make appearances.
Plus, James ‘Arg’ Argent is tipped to return after a few series away from the show.
Additions include new girls Ruby Lacey and Maddie Hooper, who are best pals with current cast member Georgia Kousoulou.
The new series will be the second of two this year as part of a change to the reality show’s format.
It was previously revealed show bosses had decided to cut the number of series of the show in 2017 but increase the number of episodes per series.
That means rather than three or four shorter runs, there will just be two series that will air for up to three months each.
This year’s first will ran for a total of 18 episodes back between March and May. The number of episodes in the second series run hasn’t been confirmed just yet.
A spokesperson for ITVBe said last year: “Next year viewers can look forward to two extended series of The Only Way Is Essex on ITVBe, giving fans even more insight and access into the cast’s lives and loves.”
The Only Way Is Essex 2017 airs Sunday and Wednesday nights on ITVBe from September.
