Celebrity Big Brother’s Sam Thompson has branded Love Island’s Kem Cetinay a “d**k” in a war between the two reality shows.
It follows claims that Sam and Jordan Davies had been ‘copying’ Love Island’s Kem and Chris Hughes’ bromance on Celebrity Big Brother.
Just days into the new series of CBB, some viewers felt as though Ibiza Weekender’s Jordan and Made In Chelsea’s Sam were trying to out do Chris and Kem in the bromance stakes.
Chris and Kem became fan favourites on Love Island this year with both making it to the final where Kem won the show with girlfriend Amber Davies.
Viewers hit out at Jordan and Sam for supposedly attempting to replicate their success.
“Jordan and Sam are trying too much to be Kem and Chris and I already want them evicted #CBB,” one viewer wrote.
Another agreed: “Catching up on #CBB. Sam & Jordan need to stop trying to be the new Chris and Kem. Stop trying to make Jam happen… ”
A third added: “Jordan and Sam are trying way to hard to be Kem and Chris 🙄 stop begging it #cbb”
And even Kem noticed the likeness, tweeting to Chris of their ‘rival’ bromance pair: “Are they bantering😂@chrishughes_22”
He later tweeted: “How is there boys paining there nails and making raps on CBB that’s so last month @chrishughes_22”
Now out of the house following this month’s final, Sam has responded to the comments and Tweeted: “Forgot that people weren’t allowed to be mates after Chris and Kem. Didn’t watch love island but heard nice things.”
He then added he thought that Kem was “a bit of a d**k now”.
“Was playful banter geez, but cheers,” Kem responded.
Sam replied: “Putting people down for making friends….not my kind of banter. Hope you have a good career.”
Chris then got involved and said: “Muggy thing to tweet. No need to put anyone down for exploring, everyone alive starts somewhere.”
Celebrity Big Brother airs on Channel 5 while Love Island is on ITV2.
